This poem brings to life the prayers many humans, who love the land they live on, yet hate the corruption and greed that engulf the political systems they are governed by. It is a cry for freedom, a plea for strength, and an expression of the lust for creativity and equality.
Side Note:Nothing will be changed unless you vote. When I mean vote, I mean not just for the presidency but for state and local officials as well. You can picket, you can protest, you can scream until your lungs bleed but nothing will make change like a vote.
I know the major issue is that the elite control everything, but they sure would have more of a fight with people in office you chose, or maybe even knew personally, through voting for them in a local election. There would be less of a chance for the rich to have more pull in an election because like the presidential election there were an influx of minorities and youth voting.
Many baby boomers will say, “all you idiot youngsters and minorities voted for a puppet,” but honestly I can say, at least they voted. Now this time don't just vote for someone because you think it would be awesome to have a black president, you just wanted to pick one because the paper was confusing, or because someone told you it was a right choice. Educate yourselves! Find out for yourselves! Don't just like someone's opinion of Ron Paul because of something you read off of Facebook or a website.( ANYONE CAN BUY AND MAINTAIN A WEBSITE!) Like it because you are well versed in what his plans are for this country. READ OUR GOVERNMENTS WEBSITE, READ THE BILLS THAT THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO PASS & CRITICALLY THINK OF THE EFFECTS THOSE BILLS WILL HAVE ON OUR SOCIETY, THEN TELL YOUR LOCAL OFFICIALS THAT THEY SHOULD NOT VOTE FOR IT BECAUSE YOU THE PEOPLE THINK IT’S RIDICULOUS! WRITE YOUR OFFICIALS, CALL THEM, EMAIL THEM, TWEET THEM, LEAVE A MESSAGE ON THEIR FACEBOOK WALLS! AFTER THAT FOLLOW UP AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT DOING IT. I 'm speaking to all you out there that don't think you can make a difference. Blacks in America thought they couldn't make a difference as well until the first black president came along and then they decided to participate in voting by the masses. Are you going to tell me that 99% of people can't beat 1% ?
